Questions about Quit Sweet

Short, direct answers about what the app does, where your information lives, and what it deliberately does not try to be. 27 questions in total.

General

  • What is Quit Sweet?

Quit Sweet is an Android habit-tracking and motivational app for people who want to cut back on sweets. It lets you log the sweets you eat, understand what triggers your cravings, build streaks toward a goal you choose, use a short craving-support flow when a craving hits, record daily check-ins, and review your progress over time.

  • How much does Quit Sweet cost?

The Google Play listing shows the current price and anything the app offers. We do not repeat pricing here so this page cannot fall out of step with the store.

  • Which devices does it support?

Quit Sweet is an Android application. There is no iOS, web or desktop version at this time.

  • Do I need to count calories or sugar grams?

No. Quit Sweet is built around counting how often you eat sweets, not nutrition data. Sugar grams and cost are optional fields you can leave blank on every entry, and onboarding states plainly that you will not need to enter sugar grams.

  • Does Quit Sweet give medical advice?

No. Quit Sweet is a habit-tracking and motivational tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not claim to treat any condition. If you have health concerns about your diet, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

  • Is Quit Sweet a sugar or nutrition database?

No. Quit Sweet is a habit tracker, not a food database. It does not look up foods, count calories, or tell you the sugar content of anything. Sugar grams and cost are optional numbers you can type in yourself if you happen to know them, and the app works perfectly well when you leave them blank.

  • Does the app judge or punish me for logging a sweet?

No. Logging a sweet records what happened and nothing more — there is no scolding message, no lost progress and no deleted history. Earned achievements stay earned. An honest log is what makes your patterns worth reading later, so the app is built to make recording a sweet feel unremarkable.

  • Is Quit Sweet available on iPhone?

Not at the moment. Quit Sweet is an Android app and there is no iOS version. We are not announcing a release date for other platforms, so please treat the Google Play listing as the only place the app is currently available.

Privacy and data

  • Where is my tracking data stored?

Your tracking information is stored locally on your device. Quit Sweet does not require an account and does not send your habit data to a remote server.

  • Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no sign-up, login or account of any kind. You can start using the app immediately after setup.

  • Does the app work offline?

Yes. Because your tracking information is kept on your device, Quit Sweet works offline and does not need a connection to record entries or show your progress.

  • What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

Because your tracking information is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the app removes that local data. There is no server-side copy, so make sure you are ready before uninstalling.

  • Are reminders sent from a server?

No. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device by Android. They require notification permission, which you can grant or revoke at any time in your Android settings.

  • Can I export my records?

Yes. You can export your records from inside the app whenever you want. The export only happens when you ask for it, and you choose where the copy goes. Once it leaves the app, the destination you picked handles that copy under its own privacy terms, so pick somewhere you trust.

  • Can I delete all my information?

Yes. The app includes an option to delete all your data. Clearing the app storage or uninstalling the app also removes local records, subject to your device backup settings. Because nothing is held on a developer server, deletion is final and cannot be reversed or recovered remotely.

Features

  • What goal modes can I choose from?

There are three. Quit sweets builds a sweet-free streak. Reduce gradually lowers how often you eat sweets against a weekly target. Stay within a limit keeps you inside a manageable daily allowance.

  • Can I change my goal later?

Yes. You can switch goal modes at any time from settings. Changing modes recalculates your current goal statistics from the entries you already saved, and your earlier logs and progress remain part of your journey. Nothing is deleted.

  • How do streaks work?

It depends on your goal mode. In quit sweets mode, the sweet-free period starts at your latest sweet entry or your journey start, and consecutive sweet-free days build the streak. In reduce gradually mode, each day whose rolling seven-day total is at or below your weekly target adds to the streak. In daily limit mode, days that stay within your allowance count toward it.

  • What is the craving support flow?

It is a five-step pause you can open whenever a craving hits. You rate how strong it feels, take a short guided breathing pause, optionally delay the decision by three, five or ten minutes, choose one small alternative action, and then record what happened. Every outcome option keeps your previous progress, including if you ate something sweet.

  • What if I log a sweet after a long streak?

Nothing is punished or erased. Logging is designed to be honest rather than perfect, and the app states that a quick honest log does not remove the progress already in your journey. Achievements you have earned stay unlocked, and your history remains intact.

  • Can I log something I ate earlier or on a previous day?

Yes. Each entry has an editable date and time, so you can record a sweet you had earlier today or on an earlier date.

  • How is money saved calculated?

It is an optional estimate based on the average weekly spending figure you enter during setup, compared against your recorded activity. It is clearly labelled as an estimate, and you can leave the spending field blank if you would rather not see it.

  • Does the app have a dark theme?

Yes. You can choose a fixed light appearance, a fixed dark appearance, or follow your device setting. Changes apply immediately.

  • Can I edit or delete individual entries?

Yes. Each entry in your history has its own options menu, so you can update or remove a single record without affecting the rest of your history.

  • Does the app send reminders?

Only if you turn them on. You can enable up to three reminder categories, choose the times yourself, and preview the exact wording before enabling one. Reminders are scheduled locally by Android — nothing is pushed from a server — and notification permission is only requested when you enable your first reminder.
