What Quit Sweet is for
A small Android app for people who want to change their relationship with sweets, built around honest tracking rather than willpower slogans.
Noticing comes before changing
Most people who want to cut back on sweets already know they eat too many. What they usually do not have is a clear picture of when it happens, what tends to set it off, and whether anything is actually shifting over weeks rather than days.
Quit Sweet exists to make that picture easy to build. You record what you ate and the cravings you noticed, and the app turns those entries into streaks, weekly charts and time-of-day patterns. It does not tell you what to eat, and it has no opinion about sugar in general.
It works offline, needs no account, and keeps your records on your device.

Design philosophy
Four decisions that shaped the app
Each of these shows up in the interface, not just in a description of it.
Supportive, not punishing
Logging a sweet is just data. There is no scolding copy, no streak shaming and no lost history. An app you feel bad about opening is an app you stop opening.
Private by default
No account, no sign-up, no habit data sent to a server. Privacy here is an architectural decision rather than a setting you have to find and switch on.
Honest about what it is
A habit tracker, not a medical service and not a nutrition database. The app states its limits on its own About screen, and this site repeats them.
Small enough to actually use
Logging takes a few taps. Every extra field is optional, because a tracker that demands effort during a difficult moment will not get used in one.

Why is it called Quit Sweet?
Because "quit" is the word most people reach for when they decide something has to change — not because everyone using the app has to give up sugar entirely.
In practice the app supports three quite different intentions, and treats them as equally valid:
- Quitting — building a sweet-free streak, for people who find a clean line easier to hold than a limit.
- Reducing gradually — lowering how often you eat sweets against a weekly target you set yourself.
- Staying within a limit — keeping to a daily allowance, with room for something planned.
You can switch between them at any time without losing history, so the name describes a starting instinct rather than a rule the app enforces. Nothing here suggests that sugar must be eliminated, or that one of these choices is better than another — that is a personal decision, and if it is a medical one, it belongs with a professional rather than an app.
The questions page covers how streaks behave when you change goals, and how it works walks through setup.
